My sweet friend Heather sent this card to me and I just love it so so so much :) It made me so nostalgic to see it. Remember mix tapes? I do! God, I used to make SO many mix tapes. It was the ULTIMATE gift to give and get to friends and lovers back in the day. To pick the perfect songs for that perfect person. Or to make a themed tape. I remember my very favorite mix tape was one that I made to write poetry too :p Of course it was very angsty...I was 16 and it had lots of Tori Amos and The Cure and My Bloody Valentine and Led Zeppelin on it. I loved that tape. I lost all of my mixed tapes in Hurricane Katrina and it made me so sad :( Not that I even have anything to play them on anymore but still...And then there were the tapes of songs recorded off of the radio...remember making those? When you sat by the radio just WAITING for the channel to play the songs you wanted and hitting record in time to get the song and then stopping it just in time so that it was perfect? :p As Heather says in her card, this new generation doesn't even know what a tape is :/ Sad, lol. Heather says she wonders how long it will be before CDs are extinct...Honestly, I'm not all that bothered about CDs going away, though I will miss the fact that I can't make mix CDs for people when that happens. I still like making mixes for friends. It's one of my favorite things to do! But these days, my favorite way to listen to music is either on vinyl or MP3s. Thanks Heather for the awesome postcard :)

Awesome Card From Great Britain!
This card comes from Alan in Great Britain and I have to say that I fell in love with it immediately :p Not just because it's creepy as hell and therefore right up my alley, but because it's homemade. This is Alan's partner pretending to be a serial killer or a stalker as part of a scavenger hunt they did for Flickr, lol. I LOVE it! And then the card just gets better! He's a book lover too and recently finished reading Barbara Kingsolver's Flight Behavior which I absolutely ADORED! He says "not bad"...my thoughts on the book are a bit more passionate than that, but I'm glad to find another person who's read the book and enjoyed it :) Oh, and I love the Jane Austen stamp too despite the fact that I'm not an Austen fan...*ducks tomatoes*

Seattle Postcard From New York!
Here's a fun one! This one came today from Yishu who lives in New York City, but she got it when she was visiting Seattle which she says is one of her favorite cities in the US! She loves to travel and hopes to visit every state in the US...I'd love to do the same! But for now, I'm happy to get to know them all through the wonders of postcrossing :)

Greetings From Shanghai!
I got this absolutely adorable card in the mail today from Ashley in Shaghai! It put such a huge smile on my face. I don't know why but I just could not stop laughing at that little bird staring at the cat wondering what the hell it was doing up in it's territory, lol.
I LOVE the stamps on this card and Ashley told me that she's a blogger too and has been blogging since 2004! Though she doesn't blog too often now. She said that she hopes I like the funny card and I did indeed :)

And One More From a Friend
And one more, this one from my dear Pat who lives in Florida. Pat was one of the first friends I met when I started blogging and we soon learned that we had so much in common that she began calling me her adopted son, and she became "mom 2" to me :p, now she's just "mama" :) I sent her a card and she sent one back saying that she hopes we meet one day and I so hope the same!!! And wishing me luck on finding a house and making sure I have her guest house in the backyard ;) Thank you mama!
Two From a Friend
These two cards both come from my dear friend Kelly in Canada and I absolutely adore them both!!! The one on the left is a valentine card from her and has Kewpie nailing a valentine letter on the door :) It reads "Please tack this notice on your door so everyone can see I've picked you out from all the world my valentine to be." So cute and so sweet. Put a smile on my face :) And the second one she sent me I absolutely LOVE! I have no clue what it is but it suits my taste in postcards perfectly...which is the bizarre. The only hint I have as to what it is, is in the top left corner of the back where it says "Zander Institue, New York City 1908"....hmmmm...A woman in a cage in an institute...may have to do some research. Thanks Kelly you made my day!!
