Yet Another Blog...

This should be a fun blog!! Kelly told me all about Postcrossing...a website that allows you to send postcards out to strangers, literally all over the world and then get postcards back. Postcards are cheap these days and I'm looking for new, cheap hobbies. I NEED to tackle my debt hardcore in 2013. I cut up my credit card (again) and deleted off of every website that had it saved. So I need to find something I can love doing. And this sounds like a lot of fun, so thanks for suggesting it Kelly :) I went out tonight and bought a box of 100 Puffin Classic Book Covers postcards and some stamps and sent off my first five postcards...one to the US, on the the Netherlands, one to Canada, one to Germany and one to Russia. How cool is that? Postcrossing lets you write a pretty extensive biography on yourself too so you get to know the people a little bit that you're sending cards to and they can get to know you :) I'm going to invest in a bottle of modpodge too as I seem to have misplaced mine and start saving the stamps from the postcards as well in one of the many unused journals that I have laying around. I used to love stamp collecting and haven't done it in years. So I'll modpodge the stamps into a journal, and write the date I received them and where I received them from :) And then start collecting the postcards too and maybe eventually do an art project too! This should be fun!!
